Porosity for urban surface to perspire

Sweating is nature's secret to regule the internal temperature of living things. Kaatop has sought in nature the inspiration to incorporate into a building material a capilar irrigation system and the porous surface that provide passive evaporation - to promote passive cooling of buildings in the way a living body does.

for the city

How to efficiently bring water to the top of buildings and constructions? Again we get the answer from nature. Just as a tree brings water and nutrients to the top of its canopy, Kaatop combines its unique integrated irrigation circuit board with any low-flow-closed-loop fertigation system to nourish and provide water for growing plants you're cropping. No waste, low energy consumption.

The evolution of a product you already know

Innovation is sometimes improving what already works. That's why all of Kaatop's built-in technology is delivered to you in the form of a product that construction already knows well: sandwich tiles and panels. Assembly, fitting and fixing are done in exactly the same way as for conventional sandwich tiles.

Lighter than a clay tile

Imagine if you could simply replace your building's clay or cement tiles for a green roof tile - open-and-shut.
Take advantage of the woodwork or metal structure of the old roof as a support, without structural adjustments, without requiring slab or waterproofing.

Natural condensation
Capture water from the air

Kaatop is designed to protect water in every possible way. Irrigation water from the hydroponics system is collected separately from rainwater and can be recirculated without nutrient losses to the environment.

In addition, even when the irrigation is off, its unique design provides the condensation of droplets from moisture in the air - that is, Kaatop is capable of producing water in small quantities - which helps reduce total water consumption in the system.
